When buying a new bike, most riders face a dilemma: Should I buy a complete bike off the shelf or build one from scratch?
Complete bikes might seem convenient, but they often come with compromises—the wrong handlebar width, an ill-fitting crank length, or a drivetrain that doesn’t match your riding style. On the other hand, a fully custom build can feel overwhelming, expensive, and time-consuming. And all you really want is to just ride your new bike!
At Raamwerk, we’ve found the solution
Pre-Configured Bikes
A Raamwerk pre-configured bike comes with a carefully selected wheelset, groupset, and core components that match the intended build—while still leaving room for your personal input where it matters most.
We’ve designed these configurations with performance but also price in mind. For example, if you’re choosing a Shimano 105 Di2, you likely won’t be going for a full integrated cockpit. It is more likely if you’re opting for SRAM RED AXS or Shimano Dura-Ace, you might be considering premium cockpit components as well.
Here’s what makes our pre-configured bikes different
1. Optimised builds: We configure the bike for performance and value, eliminating guesswork.
2. Finalised only after your input: Unlike stock bikes, we don’t assemble everything in advance—we wait until you’ve provided your fit and personal preferences before building it.
3. No surprises on cost: You know exactly what you’re paying upfront, but still get a semi-custom experience.
What you can personalise after ordering
Once you order your pre-configured bike online, we’ll ask for your fit and preference details, including:
- Handlebar width
- Stem length
- Saddle choice
- Crank length
- Drivetrain preferences
This way, you get the experience of a custom-built bike, but with predictable pricing and a streamlined process.
The only tradeoff? No instant stock bike—but we promise you it is worth the wait!
Since every Raamwerk bike is built to order, we don’t ship immediately from stock. Instead, you get a bike that’s tailored to you—which is also a key part of our sustainability vision. Less waste, smarter production, and a bike that truly fits.
