The Parallel Gen 2 is the younger version of the Gen 1. The differences are minor, but we’re happy to explain them to you.
Transfers
The most notable change is the new transfers. The logo on the downtube has been updated, along with four other transfers. Additionally, we’ve added six new transfers. They’re fairly subtle – can you spot them all?
Colors
The Gen 1 was available in two bright colorways: Concept 12 and Bright Blue. For the Gen 2, we’ve added "Deep Space," a beautiful dark metallic blue. Of course, the fork, seatmast, and stem are also finished in this mesmerizing color.
Geometry
The Gen 1 frames are focused a bit more on crit racing than the Gen 2. The only difference between the two is the bottom bracket height. On the Gen 1, the bottom bracket is about 1cm higher, providing more pedaling clearance in corners. The Gen 2, with its slightly lower bottom bracket, offers more comfort and even more predictable handling.
Seat Mast
On the Gen 1, we’ve proven that the cuttable seatmast works well. You can install the seatmast on the Integrated Seat Post for a sleek look, with the seatmast in the frame color. If you prefer a different seatpost, you can simply cut off the seatmast and use a 27.2mm seatpost. No problem.
